Role pack · optional

Make home the easiest place to ask for help.

Examples come from home: the family group chat, a game top-up, a bedroom door that has been closed for two days.

Your child does not need a parent who understands every trend. They need a parent who can say: “You can tell me even when you think you made a mistake.”

Your goal is not zero risk. Your goal is earlier help.

This week

This week: one ten-minute conversation, and one family safety agreement written down where everyone can see it.

Parent and caregiver pack

  • Put the agreement somewhere visible. An agreement in a drawer is a document; on a wall it is a norm.
  • Do the weekly ten minutes in the car, on a walk, or while cooking. Sitting a child down opposite you makes it an event.
  • Ask before you post a photo of them, out loud, where they can hear you asking.
  • Follow the device-free times yourself. They are watching that more closely than they are listening to the rule.
  • Your goal is not zero risk. Your goal is earlier help.

Whichever pack you read

The standard does not change

Whichever pack you read, every adult practises the same three behaviours: a non-blaming first response, no new copies of a sexual image of a child, and an urgent case treated as urgent.
